The problem
Dope cards and phone apps fail exactly when you need them.
Long-range shooters juggle printed range cards, wind calls, and phone apps with tiny buttons, usually with cold hands, in weather, sometimes with no signal. The data exists; getting it at the moment of the shot is the hard part.
What we built
A full ballistics solver that lives on your wrist.
WristDope runs natively on Apple Watch: profiles for your rifles and loads, live firing solutions, and an ammo scan. Point your iPhone camera at a factory box and the load data lands in your watch. It works offline and is built for gloves and glare.
How
Native watchOS, computer vision, and a solver tuned for small screens.
SwiftUI on watchOS with the solver on-device, an iPhone companion app for scanning and setup, and vision models doing the ammo-label reading. The interesting work was editorial: deciding what a shooter needs at 900 yards and cutting everything else.
Status
Live and operating.
